Bee stories: The President Tea

Yesterday was the annual President Tea at Istana. It was a first time experience for some of my colleagues so they were very excited. For me, it is an annual event for me to "eat snake", have good food and catch up with old friends. So a total of 14 of us from CGH were there yesterday.

I don't have any photos to show cos they don't allow as to bring camera. But our wonderful "know everyone" colleague "charm" the official photographer and he agreed to email us the photo. Heehee.... Hope that he will keep to his promise ah.

For people that don't know, the event is an annual prize presentation for the Outstanding Social Worker Awards. And this year they have a Most Promising Social Worker Award too. 2 out of the 3 recipients are MSWs. So MSW rock huh.

Anyway for miscellaneous people like us, we were only there to eat and chit-chat. As there were only seats for the VVIP, we miscellaneous people were standing there from 2pm to 4.30pm. And after the event, the CGH team left the Istana hoping to do something "happening". You must understand we were sort of released from "Changi". Hehee..

Yah so we walked aimlessly at Plaza Sing for abt an hour. Stone at Starbuck for another hour. And subsequently began our journey from Doby Ghuat to Arab Street by FOOT!!! Yes, despite standing for the whole afternoon, we actually WALKED to join the ACTION team for Sharon's farewell party at Arab Street. Not to mention that we gals were all wearing heels.

Since the journey was hot and unbearable, we gals could not help but found some entertainment by being PI / spies. Hehehee.... A love affair being developed during that long walk??? We wondered???
