Today is MSW 60th Anniversary Celebration aka "The Wedding". It is a big celebration organise by all the MSW in all hospitals/polyclinics. Me and a few colleagues whom we call ourselves wedding planners have been involved in the preparation for the past few months.
The experience is errr.... "horrible, terrible and unbearable!" I mean the process. It is not easy to deal with everyone especially most of them are bosses level. We small fry only take orders. But when there are too many bosses, you get confuse to which boss orders to listen to. And we need to chase people to do their work. That is something I really hate cos I don't know how to tell bosses to work.

Of course this is a learning experience and exposure to me. BUT it also tell me I am not cut out to deal with atas people. I don't understand why people cannot talk to each other properly and with sincerity. The "top down" kind of attitude is something I hate. And also expecting you to do all the "miscellaneous" things just because you do not belong to that "bosses category".
Seriously I do not mind running around but pls don't make me feel like a "maid". I feel so today when people ask me to look into "why there isn't any ladle on that bowl of dessert there?". For information, I am stage manager today NOT food manager. Best is that I haven't got time to see what is available on the buffet table so how I know if that bowl of dessert needs a ladle???
And the disappointing part is that this person did not say "thank you" to me. Oh yah, she never even bother to ask if I have recovered from my illness. Instead she sms me after the event to tell me what is MY responsibilities at this event and why I did not follow through. Well if you are not going to sacrifice your weekend afternoon to clear things pls dun expect me to do so too. And for infor, my boss gives me permission to go home.
Anyway these are some "miscellaneous" people that I got to work with. The impt people like the wedding planners are wonderful. We were the ones that endure all the arrows shooting across our heads. Thank you to my 3 other wedding planners for covering me when I was on MC. Also thank you to all colleagues for helping out today. You all have shown that CGH people are the ACTION people. Thank you very much and Happy 60th Anniversary!!!
