F1 Rocks Concert

Went for the first F1 Rocks Concert on Thursday night at Fort Canning. It was my first standing concert so quite an experience.

Got the tickets for FREE!!! Thanks to my sis, for once she got this kind of lobang. And being poor social worker, I immediately agreed to go with her and totally forgot abt my date with pig dog friend. Lucky pig dog friend got to work late, if not I am sure I will be dead by now. Hehee...

Even though it was a standing concert, majority of the people were sitting down like having picnics when we arrived. Only a group of "xiao mei mei and xiao di di" that was standing in front. Of course we old people also sait down. Haha.. and my sis was very proud that she brought a garbage bag for us to sit on the floor ;)

Waiting for the concert to start. We were planning to sit down and listen to the first 2 groups of singers - Da Mouth & Sodagreen. Cos we were hoping to keep our engery for A*Mei & Jacky Cheung. But thanks to the technical fault during Sodagreen segment. We were too curious and upset that we stood up. For infor, when Sodagreen was singing at a "high", the sound system when mute (before that was a loud deafening sound).

Feeling bored at the concert cos a lot of time spend on waiting for the sound system to be set up. The organiser really CMI cos they took long time to set up when they change a group of singers. The last straw came when we waited for about 40 mins for them to set up for Jacky Cheung segment. And that was after A*Mei segment when the mood was very good already. But because of Jacky Cheung that we stayed back, if not I am sure I would be on the cab home to sleep.

First time watching A*Mei performing "live". Vocal is real good. But can't really hear her on this video cos something wrong with the sound system again!

Jackey Cheung's performance after the long wait. Only took a short video cos I was enjoying the songs. His vocal is still as good as ever. Haven't been to his concert for many years cos he getting atas and tickets too expensive. Seem like his concert will still be worth watching. He is still my idol! =)

Conclusion, F1 rocks have great singers but horrible sound system and organiser. Not to forget the hot weather and standing for the whole night. Definitely not worth spending over $180 for it. But it is still a great experience for me and sis. Guess we have fun our own way =)
